Colonoscopy

During a colonoscopy, the doctor inserts a colonoscope into your rectum to look for abnormalities throughout the colon. A colonoscopy is a test used to look for changes such as swollen, irritated tissue, polyps, or cancer of the large intestine (colon) and rectum.
