Prostate Surgery

Prostatectomy is the surgery to remove part or all of the prostate. The prostate is located in the male pelvis below the bladder. It surrounds the urethra, which carries urine from the bladder to the penis. The method is used to treat a number of conditions that affect the prostate. It is commonly used as a treatment for prostate cancer. Prostatectomy can be performed in a variety of ways depending on the conditions involved.
